We respect your privacy – protecting your personal information is important to us
McNab understands the importance of, and is committed to, protecting your personal information. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act). We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) which regulate how we may collect, use, disclose and store personal information, and how our customers and suppliers and stakeholders ('you') may access and correct personal information we hold about you.
Personal information means information or data, relating to an individual who can be identified by that information or data or in combination with other information or data. McNab will not use or disclose such information for purposes other than the purpose for which it is collected.
McNab reserves the right to monitor and audit the use of its information, communication and storage systems, and to access communications or information sent through or stored on McNab systems.
Information we collect about you
McNab collect personal information necessary to fulfil its services, functions and day-to-day operations. Generally, we collect the following personal information about you:

your contact details including residential or business address, telephone number and email address (if applicable)
company details (if applicable);
date of birth;
education;
qualifications;
experience;
social media details;
IP address;
server;
details of services you have enquired about;
any additional information relating to you that you provide to us or our representatives.
We may combine your personal information above with other information about you, including sensitive information, for example:
if you log in to our website we may collect details about your user name, site usage and products and services you may be interested in;if you apply for a position with us, we collect information to help us decide your application, including your contact details, date of birth, work history, academic history, referees, tax file number, medical and relationship status and similar details;
if you request information from us (for example about a product or service) or register a complaint, we collect information about your request or complaint;
if you enter a promotion, visit us at an event or enquire about McNab, we may collect your contact details so that we can follow up on your enquiry or interest by sending you marketing material.
Purpose of collection
We collect and record personal information about you so that we can carry out our functions and activities and provide the best possible customer service. The primary purposes for which we collect your personal information include:
provide our products and services to you;
decide whether to employ or contract with you;
comply with agreements we have entered into with our suppliers and customers;
provide you with access to protected areas of our websites;
assess the performance and improve the operation of our websites;

To whom may we disclose your information

We will not sell or disclose your personal information to spammers or direct marketing operators.
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law, regulations, courts, government agencies, such as Australian Securities and Investments Commission, law enforcement bodies such as Australian Federal Police, and other regulatory bodies. We may also disclose personal information in connection with any investigation or complaint regarding your use of our websites, or in connection with legal action regarding injury to our websites or McNab’s rights or property.
We will notify you as soon as practicable if there is an unauthorised disclosure of your personal information. We will also notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner of any data breach as soon as practicable.
Accuracy and Correction
We take reasonable steps to make sure that the personal information we collect is accurate, up-to-date and complete. We will not charge you for making a correction request, for correcting your information or for associating a statement with your information.
Acceptance and changes to Privacy Statement
You acknowledge and accept that by providing us with your personal information, or by using McNab’s websites, you accept this Privacy Statement.
This is the current Privacy Statement and replaces any other Privacy Statement to date.
McNab may at any time vary its Privacy Statement by publishing a varied Privacy Statement on its websites, and posting notice of the change on any of its websites. The new Privacy Statement will apply to information we collect after the date we post the change on our website.
If you do not agree with the change, you must not provide us with your personal information, use our websites and ask us to delete your personal information.
